Essence Razor + 20 Blades

Safety razors have been forgotten in favor of disposable plastic razors (and yes, the seemingly cheap plastic industry makes us buy the same product every week, month, year…). They have been around longer than these new razors with moisturizing strips, even though they are much better. Characterized by the fact that they use a single stainless steel blade that is replaced by unscrewing the head of the razor (more details in our videos), made with much more durable materials, these razors are made to last a lifetime. Little known or still with prejudices such as “you can cut yourself”, “it's for men”… they offer the smoothest shave you can imagine. Even more so thanks to the work we have done with Essenza: we have adapted the head of the razor so that it can be used on the whole body (remember that the safety razor is old and was often adapted to men's faces…).

Good question! You may have seen similar razors for sale? But as you suspect, they are nothing like our razor. Why?

• They are not made the same and they are not of the same quality. This causes them to rust, break very quickly. Essenza is a razor that lasts a lifetime!

• There is more chance of cuts with other razors! We have worked to get a much safer razor head to reduce the number of cuts to 0. And yes, gone is the legend of the safety razor that cuts at every pass.

At first many people are afraid, but many told us that in the end it was safer than a classic razor. Surprising, right? So as the name indicates, it is a safety razor so it is less scary, but compared to other safety razors, we have worked to increase the safety of the head and therefore reduce the number of cuts to 0. So unlike the others you will not cut yourself.

Let's take the example of Clarisse, co-founder of Essenza, shaving experience to help you understand the durability of our blades. Clarisse usually shaves every 4 days (although sometimes she can wait a little longer). She changes the blade after at least 2 months but would say more than 3 months (being a woman she takes care of it). For 1 pack of 20 blades (offer) she has enough to shave for 5 years (that's huge lol). But if you shave every day (30 days of shaving per blade), you will have about 2 years of shaving! 2 years of shaving will cost you exactly 3,75€ with the pack of 20 blades. But with the 100 blades that lasts 10 years (or more) you will shave for 2,29€ per year!!! Imagining on Clarisse scale, if you buy the pack of 100 blades, you will use 4-5 blades per year, which means 20 years of shaving already purchased and for a person who shaves every day -> about 10 years. Nothing more economical and ecological. However, again, depending on the use and condition of the razor (never rinse…), you may need to change the blade more often. In general, if you feel that shaving becomes uncomfortable, you should change the blade.

Yes! With it you can shave your groin, armpits etc. BUT we won't lie to you, like a "classic" razor you have to go slow in these areas. But you already know that haha.

Our razors are specially designed to be water and especially rust resistant (unlike some low quality safety razors…). You can easily leave it in the shower, but be careful, depending on your home, the water can have a strong presence of limescale, so we recommend cleaning it a little more often in these cases (simply by opening the head of the razor, where the blade is, and rinsing).
